”Sportens Eldsjälar” (”Sport Enthusiasts”), a series of shows at Sveriges Radio P1.
In Sweden, where  (as in any country) voluntarism seems to play an ever smaller role in society, there is still more than half a million people who work day in and day out, nonprofit in the sports movement.
They do it because they love the sport.
”Sportens Eldsjälar” is about those who drive the zamboni and mow the grass. About the little league coaches. About those who tear tickets and sell coffee, without getting paid.
The four programs portrays those heroes who work behind the scenes,  whose actions means everything to the club and practitioners. They might be active in different sports, in different parts of the country. They might have totally different dreams and motivations, but they have one thing in common: they all share a passionate commitment to the sport they love.
